When Passion Meets Profession: A Dance with Cleanliness
I love dancing. Any dancing. Just love everything about it. From the rhythmic beats of belly dancing to the poised elegance of classic, every dance form has its own story. But what if I told you that my story weaves two seemingly contrasting worlds – dance and cleaning?
I grew up in the lively streets of Stoke Newington. I was enchanted by every dance step I witnessed. However, life had its own choreography. It led me into the meticulous world of cleaning. But the dancer in me never retired. Even as I polished floors and dusted windows, I dreamt of pirouettes and salsa twirls.
It wasn’t long before I had an epiphany! Why not merge the grace of dance with the diligence of cleaning? Dance studios, the very platforms that nurture talent, became my muse. Cleaning them meant I was part of the dance ecosystem, albeit in a different role. Voila. My fragile idea about cleaning and dancing was slowly becoming a reality. How about I clean dance studios? That would have given me the opportunity to be so close to these magical floors, and maybe, just maybe, I may be allowed to use them for a bit.
My journey had its right old challenges. I was forced to balance late-night cleaning sessions with dance classes. Had to deal with a wide array of clients – the enthusiastic ones cheering me on and the not-so-enthusiastic ones raising an eyebrow at my unique blend. But every dance has its hurdles, right? I pressed on with it.
Here is a quick story from the kitchen. One unforgettable evening, after a tiring cleaning job, the owner of a dance studio in Stoke Newington Church Street let me use the venue for a little while. Whaaat? For real? I couldn’t believe my luck.
The spacious room, with its polished wooden floors and large mirrors, beckoned. I couldn’t say no. And I didn’t. I danced like no one was watching. It was magical!
Although I am trying to provide my cleaning services mainly during the day, quite a few cleans happen during the eveining/night. Busy dance venues and studios are occupied during the day and not much cleaning can be done for pure;y practical reasons. So during the day I mainly offer my end of tenancy cleans in Stoke Newington and the other postcodes, surrounding N16.
Through Dance ‘N’ Clean, I hope to share such snippets of joy, challenges, and of course, cleaning tips. After all, every dance studio deserves to shine just as brightly as its dancers.
Let this platform be our stage, where tales of passion and perseverance come alive. So, are you ready to join the dance?
